Microsoft Word will bring up other words that have the same meaning for you to use as a substitute for the boring word. Instead of always writing using the same writing format, why not switch it up and try something different? You could use different methods of writing and always use different ideas. How boring would it be if you always wrote about the same thing? Try writing about something you might not know much about and write about it in a way that is different from the way you usually write. Change can be a good thing!
Other Ways to Be Creative
If you are looking for a creative way to write, try writing from a different perspective. If you are a female, try pretending you are a male and writing from a male perspective. Even though we are living in 2012, why not try writing like you are from a different time period? Try writing in Old English, like Shakespeare did. Additionally you can really spruce up your writing by adding some song lyrics in a fitting place, aligning your typing in a creative way, changing the color of the text or even using a fancy font. There are so many ways to be creative with your writing.
If you never took a creative writing course, you do not really need to. There are many ways for you to be creative all on your own. Remember to try using some colorful words where you would have used a boring and common word. Try to arrange your text in a creative way and even write from a different perspective or like you were from a different time period. All of these ideas will allow you to have a more creative paper.
